The Care Quality Commission (CQC), the body that regulates healthcare providers in England has recently started to inspect all GP practices and has carried out a routine inspection of Metro Interchange Surgery.

While the feedback they received from patients was generally positive, the CQC felt the practice did not meet its expectations in full and required the practice to make improvements in a number of areas.
Our priority has always been to provide high quality medical care for our community and we are working with NHS partners to make the required changes and bring our systems into line with CQC's requirements.
We have systems in place for many of the areas that have been highlighted but we take the CQC's concerns very seriously and have put a clear plan in place to tackle the issues they have raised.
